Functional Description: This part mates with the reciprocating saw's
blade clamp. Before AFT's MIM collar, the customer had a multiple
piece construction that required a manual assembly process. The current
design has all the features of the multi-piece design molded directly into
the part with the only secondary operation being a sizing operation on the "T" slot. Utilizing
MIM technology was the only way to economically manufacture this part. Because
of proven success, the part is currently being designed into the next generation
tools.
