Meet Jeff Heinz, Tooling Engineer
Jeff has been a tooling engineer with AFT for two years. Before joining AFT, he worked as a Class 2 journeyman mold-maker at Front Range Tooling, one of Colorado's premier mold-making shops. Jeff also managed the shop for seven years.
What exactly does a tooling engineer do? As Jeff describes it, "I quote all new tooling projects, and coordinate, concept, design, and build all mold projects located with outside vendors."
"I also take care of all invoicing of material and labor within the AFT tool room," said Jeff. "I am proud to be an integral part of the Tooling team at AFT. Together we will continue to be a world leader in the MIM industry."
Outside of AFT, Jeff stays very busy. "I'm 39 and have two incredible kids. I have been a professional tournament target archer, and still hold several Colorado state records. I built a motorcycle from scratch and like to drag race. I love to fly-fish, and I'm an avid runner." |
