The 2005 NCAA Swimming and Diving
Championships
are relying on

Systems equipment.
Are you ready for
some
swimming?
The NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships this year are relying
on Colorado Time Systems' equipment. Complete CTS timing
systems will be used at the following championships:

In Division I, the University of Minnesota hosts the Men's Championships
March 24-26. A longtime CTS customer, the University
of Minnesota Aquatic Center has a full CTS timing system, and recently purchased a new video
display system from CTS. The 21-foot by 10-foot digital video display is
the largest permanent video installation in an aquatic facility in the
United States.
Purdue University hosts the Division I Women's Championships March
17-19. The NCAA Division I Swimming and Diving Committee are renting a
complete CTS timing system for the Championships to ensure the availability
of RJPs, (relay judging platforms) which the committee requires.

Hope College hosts the Division III Championships at the Holland
Community Aquatic Center in Holland, Michigan. The Women's Championships are
March 10-12, and the Men's Championships are March 17-19. The Holland
Community Aquatic Center, another longtime CTS customer, was chosen the
nation's best indoor public/nonprofit facility by Aquatics International
magazine in 2004.
Over the past five years, 90 percent of NCAA championships have
relied on CTS equipment. In the last decade, 16 of 18 facilities to host
NCAA swimming and diving championships have used CTS equipment.
Don Megerle, former coach at Tufts University, is responsible each year
for the Division III Men's and Women's Championships, and served
as the meet coordinator for more than two decades for the Division I Men's
Championships. He said he is more secure going into a meet relying on CTS
equipment.
"I know we won't have issues with the equipment, and we'll
be able to record every time," said Megerle. "CTS sets
the standard for timing accuracy." |
