ASCA World Clinic
A record number of attendees flocked to the Marriott Harbor Beach Resort in Fort Lauderdale, Florida for the American Swim Coaches Association (ASCA) annual World Clinic September 6-11, 2005. Just a 10-minute walk from the Hall of Fame Aquatic Complex, the Marriott Harbor Beach Resort was the perfect venue for the annual clinic.

Colorado Time Systems (CTS) booth showcased several new products and upcoming services, including wireless pace clocks, Countdown Clock and Remote Service Assistance for the System 6 Sports Timer.
Meanwhile, the CTS Cabana Booth featured a place to sit, relax and enjoy a fruit smoothie and a foot massage.
A vendor presentation featured Coach David Marsh of Auburn University, who talked to coaches about swimming techniques and training tools.

Welcome Party
On the beach Wednesday evening, the Latin rock band Diario Vivir entertained guests at the Tropical Rock Welcome Party hosted by CTS, complete with food, drink and exclusive CTS giveaways.
Exhibit Hall Grand Opening
Thursday morning, the Exhibit Hall grand opening was co-hosted by Paragon Aquatics and CTS.
World Clinic
The main clinic program consisted of speakers such as Eddie Reese, Mark Schubert, Glenn Mills, Bill Sweetenham, George Block, Pat Hogan, Tom Avischious, Bill Schalz, Mick Nelson, John McIlhargy, Richard Quick, Tammy Hopkins, Michael Brooks, Phil Emery (Bangor Maine, High School Coach), Dick Hannula (Tacoma, WA), Pete Higgins (Atlanta, GA), Jack Bauerle, Teri McKeever,Michael Collins, Kerry O’Brien, Charlie Hoolihan, Paul Hutinger, Kris Houchins, Mel Goldstein, Bob Bruce, David Gibson, Bob Bowman, Mary Reilly McGee and Ray Benecki.
Show Special Continues
The show special on Relay Judging Platforms and a QuickStart Pro or Pace Clock Pro will continue until October 21, 2005.
Next Year
Next will be the 2006 ASCA World Clinic in Washington, D.C. Everyone is looking forward to another great event. |
