Using DisplayLink with Windows 2000 Professional
Mercury and Myriad boards with versions of DisplayLink 3.4 and later can be used with Windows 2000 Professional if necessary, to replace the NT computer running DisplayLink, or restore an existing DisplayLink install.

To ensure proper DisplayLink operation using Windows 2000 Professional, it is critical that you install the Windows 2000 packet drivers with the DDK packet protocol when setting up the local area network connection. For your convenience, we have included a zipped copy of the Windows 2000 packet drivers with this article.
Colorado Time Systems offers a complete laptop package (PCLT) for $2500. This package includes:
- laptop computer
- carrying case
- media converter
- upgrade of DisplayLink to the latest version that your scoreboard will support. Versions of DisplayLink older than 3.4 will not operate with Windows 2000 Professional and require Windows NT.
You may also choose to purchase your own laptop package. In this case, you would only need the upgrade CD of DisplayLink for use with 2000 Professional, which costs $500.
Mercury and Myriad boards will not operate, and are not supported, with DisplayLink using Windows XP or ME. The only supported platforms for DisplayLink with these boards are Windows NT 4 and Windows 2000 Professional.
Philips and Olympex boards will operate with DisplayLink using Windows XP. |
