Proven Systems - stronger relationships, better customers

Passionate about Customer Service

Scott Kenny takes three things seriously: swimming, customer service and excellent products. As a Colorado Times Systems (CTS) Technical Specialist, Kenny gets to do the things he loves: meet with swimming people and help them get the most out of their equipment.

While in the office, Kenny spends his time on the phone with customers, answering questions, training customers over the phone, and handling concerns. In addition, Kenny lives for the opportunity to get out in the field, installing, repairing and maintaining equipment, because that's where he gets to spend time face to face helping swimming people.

"Generally people in swimming genuinely love the sport," said Kenny. "There's usually three degrees of separation among everybody in swimming, so it feels like one huge family."

As a former competitive swimmer and swim coach, Kenny understands the needs of the coaches and the athletes, and enjoys discussing coaching and training techniques. Kenny is committed to integrating CTS equipment with these specific needs to help teams achieve their desired results.

"The great thing about being out in the field is that you can explain products so much more easily face to face," Kenny said. "You can show them exactly what goes where and how everything hooks up. It's very satisfying to help our customers understand their system and use it to its full potential."

Kenny was born in Florida and raised in Loveland, Colorado, where he went to high school and swam competitively. He began his career with CTS in 1999, in the customer service department. Throughout his tenure with CTS, he has also worked in sales, and a combination of sales and customer service in a satellite office in the northeastern United States. When the northeast office closed, he remained in that area, working as an independent contractor for CTS.

He also worked for the National Inventors Hall of Fame as a regional program manager for the Camp Invention program, described on their website as "a program that invites children to let their imaginations run wild through teamwork, creative problem solving, and inventive thinking."

When Kenny moved back to Colorado to be near family, CTS was delighted to welcome him back. Vida Stanton, CTS Customer Service Manager, said, "I'm thrilled that he's back. He has always been a dedicated employee – very enthusiastic and very knowledgeable. He is an asset to our customer service team, and an asset to the customer."

Kenny is passionate about helping others to solve problems, whether facilitating creative invention among elementary school children, or working with coaches and aquatic facilities to get the most out of their equipment.

Kenny's enthusiasm is contagious. He's thrilled that more people are discovering swimming as a recreational sport as well as a fitness regimen. "People are figuring out that it's the best and most efficient way to keep in shape," he said.
