The following press releases highlight our ongoing efforts to extend the reach of our network and deliver premier communications services to customers across the country.

Time Warner Telecom has been selected as a preferred provider to The Quilt. The Quilt is made up of 23 regional non-profit network aggregators within the U.S., which pass traffic for a significant portion of universities and colleges across the country as well as K-12 state education networks. Included in the list are major research and development organizations including federal, state, and local government and private corporations. The Quilt aggregates the buying power of its participants to obtain the best value Internet services. Read more (PDF).

In June, we announced the introduction of Integrated LAN. This service provides affordable "branch-office" Ethernet connectivity and converged voice solutions for multi-location businesses such as healthcare, retail, government and finance. For example, a retailer with 12 locations in one city and two distant locations will benefit from Integrated LAN by transmitting data traffic over a private network that is scaleable and secure behind a single firewall. All voice and data traffic between locations will remain on their "private" network and Time Warner Telecom will manage all traffic bound for the public switched telephone network and the Internet. This service allows customers to use bandwidth in the best interests of their business. Read more (PDF).

We also recently announced the deployment of Overture Networks ISG 140 and ISG 180 network devices that allow us to deliver Ethernet services to customer locations that are not directly connected to our network. Our announcement stated that we will provide to the Meridian School District a full suite of communications solutions, including metro Ethernet, Ethernet Internet Services (EIS) and voice services, utilizing this off-net solution. Time Warner Telecom can now cost-effectively deliver our industry leading Ethernet portfolio to customers anywhere. Read more (PDF).

Finally, we announced 1 Gbps availability and nationwide reach of our MPLS, IP VPN solution for business customers. IP VPN is suited for enterprise businesses that are looking to streamline their networks. For example, they can connect their headquarters, branch and satellite locations together and connect various access technologies to a fully integrated, easily managed network backbone. Our VPN solutions suite is optimized to support a wide range of enterprise customers and their advanced intra-company applications. With IP VPN we are offering customers more choice for their business critical applications. Read more (PDF).
